Uncolored Reality

Just here to share some chaotic truths! Taboo lifestyles and more…There are two sides to every story, look over the rainbow.

The Tearsmith

Let’s talk about the Tearsmith! This movie premiered on Netflix on April 4th and is the adaptation of the book The Tearsmith by Erin Doom!

While I didn’t get the chance to read the book first, I’m pretty sure it was way better than the movie. The Book Is Always Better🙃.

Anyway, the movie follows Nica, who comes to an orphanage after both her parents die. The kids in the orphanage were often tortured and none of their things they bring with them belong to them anymore.

Rigel is the only one in the Orphanage who doesn’t get tortured🤔

Apparently, Nica has never liked Rigel during all their years there together. UNTIL they both get adopted as teenagers. We then find out a lot more about their story.

This movie for me was very short and lacked a lot of details. I feel like they literally got to the scenes that only mattered enough to complete the puzzle. Missing out on a lot of depth that could have made it more emotional overall and left the ending up to interpretation.

Overall, it was good and still had me rooting for them and I even almost teared up at the bridge scene.
